Finally, yesterday, i reached Ahemedabad, which, lately, had become my home for the last four years, after a long exile of one month which include a visit to conference at Beijing, China and a school at Chandigarh, Panjab University.
Let me first say my experience about my flight to Beijing. I left Ahmedabad on 22nd March to Delhi from where i had to catch a flight to Beijing. I could have taken the flight from Mumbai also, but i prefer Delhi for two reasons. First, my home is in Delhi and i can spend some time with my family there. The second reason was that i learned that at Beijing, temperature was subzero and i needed to take some heavy woollen clothes with me. Here, at Ahmedabad, I do not have any warm clothes as here we do not have any harsh winter. So, i had to go to my home at Delhi to take some warm clothes with me.
I had a flight on 24th March from Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi to Hong-Kong. From Hong-Kong , i had to take another flight to Beijing. From Delhi to Hong-Kong, i boarded an Air India Flight. Seats were comfortable in the plane. Earlier, last year, i boarded Emirates flight. I find seats in Air india flight are more comfortable than Emirates. One things that i was really missing was beautiful air-hostesses. In Air-India flight, air-hostesses are of aunty-type, no real maals :). All were above 35 yrs. Meals were good. Actually, that was the last time, i ate food in the real sense. After that for the next seven days during my stay at Beijing, I was starved. From Delhi to Hong-Kong, it was around 4 hrs flight and for my next flight, i needed to wait at the terminal for around 5 hrs. Hong-Kong airport is very beautiful. It is just beside a sea (i do not know which sea). It was worth watching the landing from inside the plane. I just roam around the terminal for 2 hrs and then i used the free Wi-Fi facility for sending smses to my friends. Actually, i was bored and tired of roaming around and i needed to kill another 2 hours and i find the Internet to be the best way to do this.
